How do I know I am saved?

So what happened when I raised my hand in church? I wanted to admit my
need for God in my life. I trusted that Christ would save me, and I confessed
my sins to Him. I prayed a prayer that went something like this:

“Lord, I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe in you alone to save me
and I trust in your work on the cross. I surrender my life to you and ask for your
help so I can live for you. In Jesus name, Amen”
How do I know for sure that I’m really saved?
1. Know what the Bible says

2. Trust what God says

3. Trust in what Christ has already done.

4. Don’t base it on how you feel.

Rom. 10:9 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised
him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 1:12 – Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God—
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.
Rom. 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isaiah 1:18 – “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Who are you now?
1. I am forgiven for my past
2. I am not defined by my past
3. I am a brand new person
4. I am born again
5. I have Gods spirit in me
6. I have an awesome future ahead
Jer. 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
Phil 3:13 – I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is
behind and straining toward what is ahead,
Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses
